About Us
About Us

Sprout Psychology began its journey in Burwood, driven by a deep passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families. As our first and main location, our Burwood clinic holds a special place in our hearts. Here, we've cultivated a warm, welcoming space where individuals of all ages feel understood and celebrated for their unique strengths.

At Sprout, we are dedicated to providing culturally responsive and neurodiversity-affirming care. We believe that neurodiversity is a natural and valuable form of human diversity, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Our team is committed to ongoing learning and development to ensure we provide the most up-to-date and effective support to our clients from diverse backgrounds.

Our Services
At Sprout Psychology Burwood, we offer a comprehensive range of assessment and therapy services tailored to the unique needs of each individual we serve. Our core services include:
-
Neurodivergence Assessments: We conduct thorough assessments to identify a range of neurodevelopmental differences, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Our assessments provide valuable insights into an individual's strengths, challenges, and support needs.
-
Psychoeducational Assessments: These assessments evaluate cognitive abilities, academic skills, and learning styles to identify learning difficulties and recommend appropriate interventions.
-
Learning Disabilities Assessments: We assess specific learning disorders such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, providing a clear understanding of an individual's learning profile.
-
Therapy Support for All Ages: Our team of experienced psychologists provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, addressing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, social skills, emotional regulation, and life transitions.

Our Approach
At Sprout Psychology, we embrace a neurodiversity-affirming philosophy. This means we view neurodevelopmental differences as natural variations in human cognition, rather than deficits. We believe that everyone has unique strengths and challenges, and we strive to create an environment where individuals feel accepted, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Our approach is guided by the following principles:
-
Strengths-Based: We focus on identifying and building upon an individual's strengths and interests.
-
Person-Centered: We tailor our services to meet the individual needs and goals of each client.
-
Collaborative: We work closely with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective support.
-
Evidence-Based: We use scientifically supported assessments and therapies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Our neurodiversity-affirming philosophy informs every aspect of our practice, from the way we conduct assessments to the therapeutic interventions we provide. We believe that by embracing neurodiversity, we can create a more inclusive and supportive world for everyone.
